Since I had to take my car to the shop, I did the thing I had intended to do with my bike – ride it to work. This is a 2.5 mile journey each way, though I only did it one way (had someone drive me to my car to pick it up in the afternoon.) The only other difference – besides the mileage – is that I also had about ten pounds (or so) strapped to my back.
